Puzzles - A new avatar

Hi,

I have been a crossword / quiz addict ever since I could remember. As I find this place getting more global (more English interspersions in Tamil is a standard way of speaking Tamil), this is an attempt to reflect the way people think here.

I am glad to present the first set of puzzles:

The number in brackets denote the no. of letters in the answer. Knowledge of Tamil (and of course English) is a prerequisite to crack them all.

1. Luri inversed to get dark (4)

2. Charisma Ricci is Chennai's perpetual need (4)

3. Young scion author's immortal epic centering the anklet (6)

4. Venn & Mail - both losing tails, can be spotless (6)

5. Amma, Ruth, Avani with you can lead to a healing place (14)

6. Sane rammed to know what a clock can reveal (5)

7. It takes Pallavi, Dhivya to seal one's fate (5)

8. Lamb's cry wrath sans head and ego make the great poet (7)

9. Superstar's latter half with article and victory to produce a contemporary literary giant (10)

Please mail your answers to this blog.

I will be back with my answers shortly.

Take care
